2026 Skis + Boots: Your First Look

Year after year, ski gear nerds rejoice at the turn of the year. January and February are when all the new gear for the following season is announced. As we start 2025, we look to 2026 and see what the ski and boot engineers have been cooking for the year. 2025 and 2026 sound positively futuristic, and the gear is no different. So, what about trends? The obvious answer on the boot side is dual BOA. But there’s also a tremendous amount of new boots that prioritize aggressive, low-volume fits. There’s also clearly a priority, BOA or not, to create more progressive flexes across the board. As for skis, we’re seeing less universal trends and more brands digging into updating their hallmark lines. They’re diving in to make each of these products better in their respective categories, rather than diving into whole new lines.
