2025-2026 K2 Skis Preview

K2 Skis 2026: The First Look

K2 has an undeniable, recognizable, vibe that oozes coolness. They have a ski and pair of boots for everyone, wherever they’re at in their ski journey. The Mindbender skis are some of our favorites for versatile all-mountain use. On the other hand, the new Reckoner series offers tremendous freestyle fun. The one ski they’re missing from the lineup? Frontside carvers for everyone. Oh, and a new boot to really tackle the mountain. Learn all about the new gear in our K2 skis 2026 preview.

What’s New

Since K2 is turning a lot of attention to their new boot line, the Cortex, this season, K2 is keeping the line clean and consistent. They are filling a hole in the ski lineup this year, with the new Blur skis. These are frontside carving skis, designed to versatile, relatively accessible, and quite fun.

The highest performance ski in this line is the Blur XT. K2 built this ski in a full size run and is considered fully unisex. They’re using recycled H-beam titanal (metal shaped like an H in the core of the ski), flax, and bio-resin for dampening. Like many of their other skis, they use a lighter weight aspen core. You’ve got a properly traditional shape, with tip rocker and a flat tail. The XT is 83mm underfoot, with a tight turn radius.

Other skis in the line include a Blur 74 (with the same rocker profile as the XT), and a Blur 79 and Blur 76 that feature deeper tip rocker and a slight rise at the tail. Ladies get the same models with a W, and Air Core, which is essentially air channels drilled into the core to shave weight and add more pop.

Other Highlights

The other big news from K2 is the new Cortex boots. You can get a deep dive in our new boot preview. But for those who just need the skinny: the Cortex feautres the new dual BOA design with a BOA dial on both the lower shell and upper cuff. It’s a low volume boot a 97mm last, with a committed ankle and heel pocket. It’s thick-walled, and designed to be a performance downhill boot for resort use. They ski badass. We got the chat with one of the lead boot designers behind this boot, Christie Burrow. Check out her interview here.

New graphics for the rest of the gear, and some fresh new colors for boots. The skis and other boots are remaining unchanged internally.
