The Salomon Strive binding line offers many different color options and DIN ranges. The Strive 14 makes sense for folks who are coming in at a higher release setting (see our DIN calculator) and want a light, low-to-the-ski feel. The first time I locked into a Strive, I knew right away I liked it. It's easy to stomp into, feels very light, and looks great in Aqua!

Our Take:

Simply put, the Salomon Strive 14 GW is a ski binding that lets you have a better day on skis. How could a ski binding possibly do that? Salomon figured out that increasing the boot/binding connection provides more of something we like to call the "snow feel". We know it sounds like something only ski nerds would say, but we promise there's some science to it. The Salomon Strive 14 features a low-profile toe piece, a wide AFD pad, and high elasticity, providing unrivaled control and responsiveness. By sitting closer to the ski, you get a lower center of gravity that increases your ski-to-snow connectivity. That means when your body initiates the turn, the binding gets the ski to respond quickly. High elastic travel provides a smoother ride by acting like suspension on a mountain bike, absorbing inconsistencies in the snow. The increased contact on the wide toe piece and robust heel piece increases power transfer and control. And to top it off, Salomon made it feathery light. The result is a binding that skis better, letting you feel more confident in every turn and line you make. So, are you ready to experience great snow feel, too?
