Using the products we try to sell is a key piece of what we do, and we try to provide authentic insight to help other winter lovers get the gear they need. These days, skiers have a bevvy of options in skis, boots, bindings, clothing, accessories, and everything else. The huge product array can be overwhelming. Plus, they’re constantly being inundated with marketing from gear brands. So, how do you sort through the noise?

Demoing gear before you buy is, of course, ideal. But trying out skis can be difficult. So, we do it for you! Our ski reviews and comparisons between various products come from staff feedback (especially from our annual ski test) and on-snow testing by our product content team. That means you’re getting insight from a wide variety of skiers and people who discuss products with customers regularly. We like to think we know gear well enough to never come across as pushy, and we distinctly try to be more than a billboard for big ski brands.
