The Volkl Mantra 88 is the versatile frontside all-terrain ski of your dreams with versatile turn shapes and a supportive flex pattern. Look familiar? You aren't mistaken--the cult-classic Volkl Kendo 88 gets a new name in favor of joining the uber-popular Mantra family. While the name changes, the ski remains the same as the last generation of Volkl Kendo 88. The same nimble and agile ride underfoot, with versatile turn shapes, and stiff flex pattern. For frontside skiers or folks who like all-mountain skis on the narrow side, the Volkl Mantra 88 differentiates from the skis in this category with a varied turn radius. 3D Sidecut Radius lets you rip shorter, snappier turns in tight terrain or if you feel like ripping some short radius turns. Or, you can open this ski up for longer radius turns. The stiff titanal frame is supportive at high speeds and dampens even the firmest hardpack. 10 on the Mohs Hardness Scale? The Mantra 88 will bite into it. A perennial favorite in the early and late season here at the shop, the Mantra 88 delivers energy and a dynamic ride to a ski that should be much more run-of-the-mill on paper.
