Our Take On The 2026 Volkl Mantra 108:
The Volkl Mantra 108 is Volkl's big-mountain charger, ideal for fast and aggressive skiers in steep and deep terrain. It is one of the heaviest and least rockered skis around 108mm underfoot and features less taper than most comparable skis. While casual skiers just clicked away from this page upon reading that, fans of the OG Katana--and aggressive, directional freeride skiers in general--are screaming, "Tell me more!" So here it is. Titanal Frame construction gives you metal where you need it without overburdening the ski. Meanwhile, 3D Radius sidecut helps you make turns of all shapes and sizes at all speeds. These features keep the Mantra 108 more accessible than you might imagine, and it follows in the footsteps of the old Volkl Confession in being surprisingly versatile. Rather than water the ski down, these features give you a refined and intuitive ride that doesn't over work you when cranking long, steep laps. We recommend these skis for ex-racers turned freeriders and advanced-expert skiers who refuse to compromise when they attack big terrain. The Mantra 108 shares the same construction and design of the Katana 108, but with a new name and graphic.
