The Salomon Stance 90 delivers refined all-mountain performance for quickly advancing intermediate skiers all the way through experts. How could it be so good for so many people, you ask? Let us explain. Each ski in the Stance series is built with two sheets of metal, with the top layer segmented to cut weight. Compared to the very different, Salomon QST 92, the metal build plus a more directional shape give the Stance 90 extra chops for skiing fast on hard snow and in mixed conditions. For the 2023/2024 season, Salomon tweaked the construction to make the ski a touch less demanding. By including additional cutouts in the metal and a more lively (and light) wood core, the Stance 90 retains much of its power while not punishing you for mistakes. The Stance 90 fits the mold for skiers who just want a good, do-everything ski for mostly on-trail action with the occasional off-piste venture, or generally firmer conditions. It's also a great fit for 50/50 types who have always preferred a narrower ski and always will. Similar skis: K2 Mindbender 89 Ti, Nordica Enforcer 88, Fischer Ranger 90.
