2025-2026 Rossignol Sender Free 100 Review

The Newest Do-It-All Sender In the AS7 years—that's "after Soul 7"—Rossignol has continued to make great skis. But they seem to have struggled a bit with names (too many) and model recognition (what's the flagship?). Now, it feels like they're hitting their stride once again. The reason? The Sender collection. One: cool name. Two, the collection features accessible and versatile skis that appeal to both everyday casual skiers and hardcore *senders*. The new 2025-2026 Sender Free 100 is designed first with the latter in mind. Going into my testing, I wondered a) how much those folks ... Continue Reading

2024-2025 Rossignol Sender Soul 102 Review

The Sender freeride collection is here. Coming off the debut of a new flagship freeride ski, the Sender Free 110, Rossignol doubles down for 2024-2025. On tap? A powder version (the 118), and two all-mountain versions: a 92 and (drumroll) the Sender Soul 102. If you're familiar with Rossi's ski history, the name will be a dead giveaway. They want to mash up a classic (the Soul 7) with the Sender Free. It makes sense, and 102mm is an attractive waist width this year. So...how'd they do? Our Take On The 2025 Rossignol Sender Soul 102:

The brand-new Sender Soul 102 is the ultimate Rossignol mashup. It largely mirrors the construction of the wider Sender 110 Free, while the moniker evokes one of the most popular skis of all time: the Soul 7. Get the new Sender Soul 102 on snow, and you’ll see why it’s got a legit claim to be Ski of the Year. Its wood core and metal layup match the Sender 110 Free, meaning it feels planted and reliable underfoot. In its extremities, it sheds mass to give you a stout ski with a light swing weight. It’s built with more camber and less rocker than the 110 Free, which gives it the liveliness and edge grip required to be a bonafide all-mountain rockstar. Add a more directional tail versus that 110 Free, and you’ve got Rossi’s take on the perfect tool for freeride-style all-mountain ripping in 2024. Not heavy, not light. Not playful, not dead. Not exclusive, not only for intermediates. The Sender Soul 102 mixes up a cocktail of traits that makes it a rarity in 2024-25 (despite the efforts of some of the world’s best ski brands)...it’s a ski built for everybody.
