Icelantic Nomad 106 Skis

This Ski Is A Staff Favorite:

The original Nomad 105 and I never really got along enough for me to want one. I really wanted to love it because Icelantic is a neat company local to Golden, the topsheets always look fantastic, and it had a really cool shape. I used to stray away from the older Nomads because it felt a little unstable at higher speeds. Now, with some carbon added to the ski, it maintains amazing stability, still has a fun, surfy feel, and looks fantastic. If you are looking for a one-ski-do-it-all option that can ski powder like a fat powder ski and supports Colorado employees, this is the ski for you! Long Live the Cactus!

Our Take On The 2026 Icelantic Nomad 106:

The lead sheriff of the new Nomad collection, the Icelantic Nomad 106 is a playful ski with an affinity for soft snow and plenty of energy. With so many skis focusing on adding metal or ultra-damp materials to their big-mountain skis, Icelantic turns to fun. This is the cool sheriff who lets you hang out past curfew and gamble behind closed doors. Icelantic loaded the new Nomad 106 up with four new carbon stringers, along with double the camber height from previous models. The ski has more rebound as you come out of a turn, without becoming unstable or unpredictable. The skiers over at Icelantic tweaked the shape of the Nomad by making it more symmetrical—this makes pivoting and switch skiing easier. Perfect for playful, centered skiers. If you spend most of your time riding in soft snow conditions and skiing off-trail.
