The Volkl Mantra M7..... woah. At a recent demo day at Loveland this was the standout for me. I usually ski twin tip, pretty heavily rockered, and softer more playful skis but I was very pleasantly surprised with how well I got along the the new M7's. It felt super maneuverable and light on the foot for a stiffer ski with metal, I could really play with my turn shapes, it was fun to get in the air off little side hits but when I wanted to lay it down and lock in on my turns the support and stability was incredible. At 6'0"
(in boots) and ~205lbs the 177cm length didn't feel lacking in ski. But if I was going to be getting a pair for myself I'd probably be looking at the 184cm for the extra stability with the slight trade off in maneuverability. For those who want a strong ski that has a lot of versatility the Mantra M7's are a strong contender. The German's got it right with this one.

2024-2025 Volkl M7 Mantra Review

Lucky Number 7. To be the 7th generation of something is some special business. The Mantra fully deserves this legacy, considering its best-selling status and name recognition around the world. For this iteration of the Mantra, Volkl went to the R&D department and told them to double down on the features that set the Mantra apart in this crowded all-mountain ski scene. While the changes aren't "overhaul" status, this is certainly a different ski on snow. Dive into our Volkl M7 Mantra Review for all the nitty gritty details, and how these bad boys perform on snow. Our Take On The 2026 Volkl M7 Mantra:

The Volkl Mantra M7 is a strong, directional all-mountain ski that's stiff, stable, and ready to charge around the mountain. This latest generation of the Mantra is easily our favorite yet. From no camber to high camber, and traditional to untraditional, Volkl's been around the block when it comes to designing skis, so you can trust they're intentional with releasing a new design. The M7 Mantra differs from other Mantras with "4 Radius Drive". Entering the fourth dimension (we didn't even realize there were that many), this new sidecut design enhances the ski's adaptability to changing snow conditions and turn shapes. For 4 Drive, the sidecut updates are consolidated to the tip of the ski. The new sidecut simultaneously makes turn linkage smoother and keeps the tip more precise once you've locked into a turn. No more chatter (not that there was much to begin with). Volkl also updated the carbon tailoring in the tips to consolidate the material and keep the tip damp and tweaked the titanal frame for a more balanced flex. While these updates might sound like they've loosened the ski up, we found the M7 to be one of the chargiest skis in the all-mountain category these days. If precision, stability, and a smooth ride are all at the top of your list--whether at high speeds or low speeds--we think the Volkl Mantra M7 is well worth an upgrade.
