Long have we asked for a fatter Stormrider. Many of us have wondered what it would ski like. Will it charge hard and fall line? Will it be drifty and fun? At long last, Stockli has delivered the goods of a mid-fat Stormrider. The Stockli Stormrider 108 takes the high-performance build of the narrower siblings, but winds up with a more progressive shape. Ample sidecut makes this ski a dream to turn in deep snow. But, considering it's a Stockli after all, you get that iconic damp but not dead feel. Any chop or mixed snow you might run into gets smoothed right out by the secret dampening agents they sneak into these skis. If you haven't heard, that works particularly well in big-mountain conditions, when variable snow can rear its head more often than you'd expect. If you, like us, have been curious about a Stockli over 105mm, this won't disappoint.
