One thing we love about the Stockli Stormrider 95: It is just so obvious that these skis are fast. Yeah, that shiny silver topsheet is not just for show. Stockli direct-prints a titanal topsheet and adds more titanal in the core. So they look metal...and that is because they are. For 2020-2021, the Stormrider comes back unchanged. If you want an aggressive, do-it-all ski for exploring every corner of the resort in just about every snow condition, these puppies are about as good as it gets. They lay down high-speed carves with the best around this waist width and power through piled-up snow and chop like they have an agenda. Directional tails hold onto turns reliably, but a touch of freeride rocker helps you release them to slash, smear, or slow down as-needed. The tips link turns without making you think too hard, and they are built with just enough taper and rocker to feel plush in soft snow. If you think you were attacking the fall line before, just wait until you do it on a pair of Stormriders. Similar skis: Salomon Stance 96, Kastle FX96 HP, Volkl Mantra M5.
