We work with the best manufacturers in the winter sports industry, but occasionally defects do occur. If you think your product has a manufacturing defect please contact us. We'll work with the manufacturer to determine if their warranty covers the damage. Determining if the issue is a manufacturing defect is solely up to the manufacturer, not Powder7. Please note, this process can take several weeks and we will keep you updated as we correspond with the manufacturer.

The revolutionary Shift MNC 13 returns to continue to provide unmatched versatility in the world of alpine touring (or hybrid) bindings. A first of its kind technology, the Shift was the first non-frame alpine touring binding to meet the safety standards of regular alpine bindings. Climb with tech pins engaged, descend in a full-on alpine binding, complete with elastic travel in both the toe and heel. At 1740 grams per pair, the Shift is still plenty light enough for skinning uphill and long bootpacks, and gives aggressive backcountry skiers the reliability of an alpine binding for a fraction of the weight. The Shift is a perfect match both for skiers who want to get into some backcountry skiing or resort uphill travel but only want one setup for everything, and for expert skiers who want a backcountry binding they can charge on. Some have deemed it the "Holy Grail of bindings." We're not going to disagree. The Shift is available in many different colorways: Salomon, Atomic and Armada. Each binding is structurally identical. Only the colors and branding vary. Please note, the Atomic "gold" color of this binding is much closer to silver in person than the stock photo

Click here for ski binding DIN Chart & Calculator. DIN is a scale of the force required for a binding to release. The lower a DIN number, the easier a binding releases; the higher the DIN number, the harder it is for a binding to release.

The setup quiver
While the shift isn't the lightest touring binding out there; it is the only touring binding I trust for skiing hard inbounds. It skis like a true alpine binding and is still very capable uphill. It is a great option for a one ski quiver and would definitely be my go to if I was going on a trip that I wanted to only bring one ski for and was doing a mix of resort, backcountry, cat, or heli skiing.
