2024-2025 Line Bacon 108 Review

[The Line Bacon 108 was treated to new graphics for the 24/25 season but is otherwise unchanged from its launch in 23/24. This review was originally published in May 2023.] All the Bacon. For a decade, the Line Sir Francis Bacon has been one of those coveted, culty skis that build a devoted following among skiers. Cool top sheets, cool name, fun, and fairly unique on the snow—it's easy to see why people liked it. This ski tester owned a pair of the 2014 version (the blue tree, if you're in the know). It's always interesting to see how brands approach overhauls of legendary ... Continue Reading

Seven 2024 Skis We're Stoked About

Say Yes to the Fresh. With new playful all-mountain models that inspire new tricks and stunts, all the way to big-mountain chargers that challenge us in new ways, there's plenty of new gear to be excited about for the upcoming season. 2024 skis bring variety, innovation in sustainability and new ski constructions, and sick new graphics (which, let's be honest, is what excites skiers the most). It's hard to pick just our favorite seven out of everything new, but these are some of the models that left the biggest grins on our faces after testing. Loading up the truck after a full ... Our Take On The 2025 Line Bacon 108:

Like their namesake food, Line Bacon skis have been revered for centuries. OK, maybe not quite that long, but the original Line Sir Francis Bacon attracted a cultish following like the greasy breakfast food. The new Line Bacon 108 skis are a definite departure from the originals, but they are still aimed at the same crowd: open-minded skiers who like to paint with a large brush. Light and soft in the tips and tails, the Bacon 108 butters, bends, and pops with gusto. But when you want to attack the fall line, stomp a landing, or play chicken with some rough conditions, a stout build underfoot and reinforced sidewalls give you a planted and supportive feel. It is meatier than the original, no doubt, and more durable. And with that blend of a playful/soft flex and a burly platform underfoot, the new Bacon 108 offers a unique ride in a world where so many skis feel the same. We recommend the Bacon 108 for freeride skiers who like to mess around and hunt for features and pow or folks who already have a more mainstream daily driver and want to add some flavor to their quiver.
