Powder7 Staff Pick Mia
By: Mia
I would call myself an upper intermediate skier, and I was really surprised by this ski. The Total Joy was an absolute blast to carve on. It was really easy to flex into the ski and engage the edge. I felt like I had a lot of control and confidence on steeper slopes, and I was able to hit my top speed without any chatter. At 5'2" I skied on the 153 which was the perfect length for me.

Our Take On The 2022 Head Total Joy:

Returning for to the hot seat for the 2021 season, the Total Joy comes back with just a topsheet update. Head redesigned their popular Joy series of womens skis for the 2019-2020 season. The widest version, the Total Joy, is one of our top picks for intermediate skiers. With LYT Tech construction and Graphene, it skis ridiculously light and doesn't wear you out. You think and it turns. But more aggressive skiers should take a look as well. Behind the turn-friendly tip rocker, abundant camber and a turn-happy sidecut make the Total Joy an awesome carving ski... as most Head skis are. If you want to channel your inner Lindsay Vonn without the terrifying skis and breakneck speeds, the Total Joy may be your ticket.
