Read all of our Fischer Ranger 108 staff reviewsI was a little hesitant to bring such a wide ski (not to mention the uber-wide tips) out for an early season day at Copper last weekend, but boy was I pleasantly surprised. This ski feels a little lethargic and hard to get on edge at low speeds, but open it up just a little bit and it really shines. Skiing chalky/icey steeps it held its edge and was extremely predictable. Charging over bumps and groomers it felt stable and damp, with one heck of a suspension. When I took it into deep moguls it felt surfy and fun and made me feel like the god of bump skiing and never felt like it was getting too loose or too locked in. This is the perfect daily driver for fast skiers in the American West.

Riding the Fischer Ranger 108s the day after a 24" storm gave me a chance to put them through the wringer in terms of conditions. They floated well in the leftover fresh thanks to their 140+ tips and gentle flex, blasted through the chop with the Shaped Ti underfoot, and then laid some serious trenches on the groomers down to the base.

When you think of the Fischer Ranger 108 ski, think of the Toyota Tacoma. The Taco has been one of the most popular and versatile trucks of all time.
