Fischer has long been known for its racing and performance gear, and with their latest all-mountain/freestyle skis, they’ve managed to combine speed, stability, maneuverability, and aggression into one ski: the Fischer Ranger 102. This is the ultimate one-ski quiver.

With exceptional carving ability and impressive maneuverability in trees and bumps, the Ranger 102 can truly do it all. The strategically placed metal underfoot ensures maximum stability, whether you're charging through crud, chopping up the mountain, or skiing at high speeds. And let’s not forget the top sheet—because you can never have too much purple.

Perfect for intermediate skiers looking to progress or expert skiers seeking a versatile, aggressive ride, the Ranger 102 is the ski for you.

Powder7 Staff Pick Mo

The Fischer Ranger 102 is super versatile ski! I love this ski as an all mountain daily driver. I love skiing bumps, trees and bowls and I felt like this ski was super manuverable, while still having quite a bit of backbone and holding up in mixed conditions. I was impressed with the drive coming from this ski and how powerful it felt. Would recommend to anyone looking for a manuverable daily driver that has a little bit more backbone than an all wood core construction gives!

2024-2025 Fischer Ranger 102 Review

[Editor's Note: The 2024-2025 Fischer Ranger 102 is the same as the 22/23 model released two seasons ago, just with new graphics. This blog post was published in 2022 and has since been edited.] A new Ranger is in town. After an overhaul last season, the 2024 Fischer Ranger 102 is back to play. Some folks might miss the legendary pink Ranger 102 FR for its charge-y character and boldness in both aesthetics and performance on snow. But the new Fischer Ranger 102 brings a lot to the table too. After being a top pick by several staffers as their favorite skis of the year (including ... Continue Reading

Our Take On The 2026 Fischer Ranger 102:

The Fischer Ranger 102 is the middle child of the Ranger ski collection. There are lots of stereotypes out there about middle children; always forgotten, left out, people pleasers, etc. The Fischer Ranger 102 may be the middle child of this family, but it refuses to ski like it. Out of the Ranger family, the 102 is likely the most versatile of the bunch, with a do-it-all waist width of just over 100mm. The Rangers come fitted with Shaped Ti, with different sizes of metal suited for different terrain. With more metal than its wider, soft snow siblings, and less than its frontside-oriented narrow siblings, the 102 has enough metal to give power and stability when you need it, without ever feeling too demanding. Significantly more playful than the previous Ranger 102 FR, quick turns and tight places feel particularly easy (and fun) to navigate. If you love to have one ski to do it all; be it soft snow, rip groomers, or negotiating variable snow when it has been a few days (or let's be honest, weeks) between storms, the new Fischer Ranger 102 should be on the top of your list.
