Great Scott! The Faction Prodigy 3 is pumped full of 80's flair, a poppy core, surfy tips, and 1.21 gigawatts of fun! A true do it all ski for the mountain west, you can slash/smear/slarve your way all over the mountain in whatever conditions get thrown at you.

Powder7 Staff Pick Ben B

As someone who prefers a stiffer, more directional ski, I never really thought I would like a ski that one would call "playful". The Prodigy 3 has COMPLETELY changed that. I've had so much fun with the way the ski pivots on a dime in the bumps, while also somehow holding an edge on a groomer at high speeds. It makes me feel like a completely different skier and I love it!

2026-2027 Faction Skis Preview

Faction Skis 2027: The First Look With some of the coolest athletes and freeride skis in the game, Faction skis in 2027 come back with a clean line that's got a little bit of something for everyone. The big news this year? A revamped Dancer series offers new waist widths for skiers looking for a little more metal in their life (or not). What's New After the new Dancer 79 came out this fall, Faction decided the rest of the skis could use a little attention too. But instead of just metal laminate versions, they decided that the shape was just as fun (if not more fun, ... Continue Reading

Our Take On The 2026 Faction Prodigy 3:

The über-versatile Prodigy 3 is back again. A shop favorite and shared among staff, the Prodigy 3 blends freestyle fun with all-mountain functionality so you can ski wherever you want, however you want. The 3's wider 106mm waist with Faction's Surf Zone tips let you float and slash through soft snow, while the energetic poplar core, directional twin tip shape, and elliptical sidecut radius still pack plenty of punch when the conditions get firm. Poppy, playful, with an ability to hold an edge through a variety of turn shapes and conditions makes this ski into a quiver-killer for anyone out West. If you consider the mountains a playground built for slashing, smearing, surfing, and ripping, then hopping on the Faction Prodigy 3 is the change you need.
