After the original Faction La Machine was released in 2020, the cult status surrounding it inspired Faction to release an entire lineup of La Machines to fit all the snow conditions you could possibly find yourself in. As much as we'd like to ski face deep pow all the time, The La Machine Mega, at 109mm underfoot is certainly a little more manageable day-to-day than its much wider sibling. A fully rockered shape and softer flex gives you an incredibly intuitive and flow-y ride. The La Machine Mega is nimble through tight trees, easy to swing around off of homemade backcountry kickers, and navigating chop when it has been a few weeks since that last storm. Playful skiers will thrive with the shape and softer flex compared to the more directional, stiffer Faction Agent. Did we mention it's also 200 grams lighter? If you are consistently skiing four foot storms in Japan, maybe look at the La Machine Max, but if you're skiing, you know, anything else, the La Machine Mega gets the job done with plenty of style.
