Our Take:
The Faction Dancer 2X offers a more powerful, directional option in Faction's generally playful lineup of skis. Two razor-thin sheets of metal complement the sustainably-sourced, lightweight, Poplar wood core for the ideal blend of energy, low swing weight, and maximum stability when ripping through morning hard pack, afternoon chop, and everything in between. Its 96 mm waist is versatile to handle all conditions and all-terrain. You'll even float and -- ahem, dance -- above the softer stuff thanks to the perfect touch of tip rocker. Per usual with Faction skis, the ladies' version offers an alternate top sheet but the same construction as the men's. Similar skis: Salomon Stance 94 W, Armada Reliance 92 Ti, Nordica Santa Ana 98.
