The Elan Wildcat 83 Black Edition makes a statement with her all-black, matte top sheet, and feisty feline graphic. But it's not just the looks that catch their eyes, it's the way they ski. Elan uses their Amphibio profile (similar to the popular Ripstick series) to encourage perfect turn linkage and initiation, with increased edge hold that provides better stability and control in firm snow. The dedicated left and right ski have different rocker profiles, with deeper rocker on your outside edge, and a longer camber line on your inside edge. That allows you to have greater control when you're laying down the carve, but have easier turn initiation to start the next turn. Bottom line: smoother turn linkage, and more stability on the firm stuff. We love the Wildcat 83 Black Edition for women who want a ski that requires strong fundamentals but is fun to ski. The Black Edition will give you more power and is stiffer than other Wildcats, giving you more chops to push through afternoon chop and crud. As Elan likes to say, "meeeeeoow."
