The DPS Kaizen 105 was cool to ski in all conditions, so surprisingly maneuverable for the amount of stability that they provide when you try to rip it down the slopes. You can tell mad scientists took some well-educated risks with these, and it paid off. Didn't get tired all day while I was able to rip the same groomers and pop in and out of the bumps and trees. Super fun float in the powder. These are great for someone that wants to maintain the strength and power of a long heavy ski, but not tire out before the end of the day.

Our Take On The 2026 DPS Kaizen 105:
The winter of 2023/2024 brings an all-new design concept from the big-brained ski nerds at Utah-based DPS—and if you like your big mountain skis to be light, damp, and playful, then you're in luck. The kaizen 105 sheds some weight from its predecessor, the Pagoda 106, coming in around 1800g in the 179cm length. Under the hood, however, DPS has dialed up the stability with an innovative ash/poplar split core and premium carbon fiber, all held together by a new anti-vibration adhesive. It's a more directional shape than the kaizen 100 or 112, with a bit less rocker and a long turn radius. At the back, a subtle pintail gets you out of your turns quick enough for nimble maneuvering in tight spaces like bumps and trees. Add it all up and you've got a proper charger, that's somehow still lighter and smoother than anything else on the mountain. Exactly what you'd expect from the latest DPS innovation.
