Ever heard the expression fake it till you make it? Well, you can do just that on this ski. The softer rocker tip and tail of this ski make it forgiving enough for even the novice skier yet cambered and stable enough for the more advanced female. Don't get caught up in the on-piste vs. off-piste dilemma, just buy the Captis Birdie - too forward? The Captis Birdie rips down the groomed runs and excels in the trees and bumps. At 5'1" I ski on the 157cm; I promise you will not out grow this ski, if anything you will start dreaming about adding a powder ski to the quiver, might I suggest the Atris Birdie?

The Best Women's All Mountain Skis of 2019

When the time arrives to buy new boards, most skiers are searching for one do-it-all ski.  All mountain planks that can hold an edge on hardpack, yet surf on deep snow when conditions are prime. But, "all mountain" is a broad term that means different skis for different skiers -- making it tricky to track down that elusive "One Ski to Rule Them All." Powder7 has you covered. Say you're a hardcore Vermonter who spends spring break tackling the Rockies, consider our picks for All Mountain Narrow. But if you shred gnarly lines like Lynsey Dyer, our All Mountain Wide picks are a good place to start. There's a one ski quiver out there for just about everyone, and we want to help you find it. 2020 Black Crows Captis Birdie Description:

Skinnier than the other iconic Black Crows womens all mountain freeride options, the Captis Birdie is best suited for playful frontside skiing. It can cruise blues with the kiddos, shred mogul lines with the ski sisters, and carve sunny groomers with all the other ladies who pulled out the tutus and onesies for closing day. A bit lighter than the men's Captis and with a slightly softer flex, the Captis Birdie is a fantastic ski for advancing skiers because it's smooth and ski-able, yet it also has enough backbone to remain fun when you become a hard-charging expert. Lightning-quick and easy to pivot, the Captis Birdie shines in trees and bumps and has just enough rocker to float you up in soft snow. This ski remains a shop favorite among our lady rippers. Similar skis: Salomon QST Lux, Icelantic Riveter 95, Elan Ripstick 94W.
