I personally went shorter on the length for my skis, but quickly realized the features I described above provide ample maneuverability and performance for choosing a longer ski length if you choose!
Our Take:
In developing the Freebird family of backcountry skis, Black Crows didn't follow the playbook of gram-pinching minimalist nerds. That is to say, they built a line of alpine touring models that ski downhill a lot like regular alpine skis, rather than sacrificing skiability for weight savings. The Freebirds have exploded because of it, becoming some of the most popular touring skis in the world. And, in turn, Black Crows keeps making subtle tweaks to improve the skis. A couple winters ago, for example, the Camox Freebird got lighter, shedding enough weight to make it comparable to some of the lighter skis in the category. The unbeaten downhill performance remained, however, with a poppy and playful feel (as you'd expect from any Black Crows ski) that's nicely balanced with strength and stability. So when you find powder, there's enough waist width and rocker to make it worth the trek. And when you climb big lines in the spring, there's enough ski mountaineering performance to get you back to the car alive and stoked. All of that sounds easy to pull off. But if it were, more skis would be this awesome, wouldn't they?

Topsheets: Good condition with scratching on the topsheet surface and light scuffing/nicking along the topsheet edges.
Bases: Bases are in good condition with scratching and minimal deeper scratches, as well as a few small scrapes that have been refilled with ptex. These skis are freshly tuned, waxed, and ready for snow, although some scratches are still visible.
Bindings: This is a fixed binding. These bindings are mounted to a BSL range of approximately 317mm-328mm. Bindings can be remounted to fit any boot size.

How to Return an Item
- Option 1: Bring the item to our store in Golden, Colorado for a full refund
- Option 2: Use a printable FedEx return label provided by Powder7:
- You are responsible for handing the package off at your local FedEx Office
- We do not provide return labels for any carrier other than FedEx
Returning New Items
- Please notify us within 30 days of receiving the new item if you would like to return it. Buying a gift? Don’t worry: our return window is extended around the holidays.
- Items may only be returned in their original new condition, including all packaging, tags, and accessories.
- All items must be re-packaged within a shipping box to prevent damage in transit.
- Returned items that arrive used, damaged, marked, or without all original packaging, tags, etc., will be refused and sent back to you.
- Once a pair of new skis has been mounted, it cannot be returned.
- When the return is processed, you will receive a full refund for the returned product(s), minus $10 for the prepaid return shipping label provided by Powder7. Please note: any outbound shipping charges are not refunded.
- Once we receive the return, please allow 3-5 business days for that refund transaction to appear on your account statement.
Returning New Ski Boots
- Please notify us within 30 days of receiving your new boots if you would like to return them.
- New ski boots may only be returned in their original new condition, including all packaging, tags, and accessories
- Boots must be returned inside their original undamaged boot box and re-packaged within a shipping box to prevent damage in transit.
- Any returned boots that arrive used, damaged, marked, or without all original packaging and a shipping box, will be declined and sent back to you.
- We always recommend trying on your new boots indoors to make sure they fit before taking them outside.
- Once we receive your return, please allow 3-5 business days for that refund transaction to appear on your account statement.
Returning Demo Skis and Other Used Items
- Please notify us within 7 days of receiving the item that you would like to return it.
- Once you ski on a pair of demo skis they cannot be returned.
- When the return is processed, you will receive a full refund for the product(s) as well as a refund for standard ground shipping ($39.99 for used skis, $19.99 for used snowboards, etc.). Please note: expedited shipping costs or international shipping costs will not be refunded.
- Once we receive your return, please allow 3-5 business days for that refund transaction to appear on your account statement.

- Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
- We're happy to send extra pictures or talk with you about products in detail before we ship them to ensure you're purchasing a product that is best for you
