We'll just get the cringe-worthy and obvious joke out of the way: the ZAG Slap 104 absolutely...deep sigh...slaps. Built light and playful with extra doses of Chamonix flair, Slap skis are named as an acronym for the French translation of "Freestyle Backcountry". On-piste and off, they live up to the moniker. The evidence? On his first day testing the Slap 104, our super-nerd marketing guy was throwing nose butter 360s, and the only thing he's ever buttered is toast. Well-balanced and intuitive in the bumps, surprisingly precise on groomers, and nimble in spicy terrain, the Slap 104 really comes alive in any amount of fresh snow. That makes it an awesome freeride option, and it weighs in light enough to be strongly considered for a hybrid resort/touring setup. So if you love exploring every mountain's nooks and crannies, and partying whenever you find powder, these skis are made for you. Similar skis: Volkl Revolt 104, K2 Reckoner 102.
