By: MattWoo! It's great that Salomon introduced the Stance skis (which are awesome in their own right) because it allowed them to make the QST 98 more freeridey and fun. This is for sure one of the best all-around skis near 100mm underfoot, especially if you like chasing soft snow to every corner of the mountain along with crushing bumps and groomers. Different feel here than a metal ski like the Enforcer 100, for sure, but this is a ski that many, many skiers will enjoy.Our Take:
After becoming a shop favorite last year, the Salomon QST 98 returns unchanged for the 2022-2023 season. Borrowing technology from Salomon's athlete-designed QST Blank, the QST 98 utilizes double sidewall technology, which increases dampening, power transmission, and edge grip to give the QST 98 the feel you'd expect from a hard-charging freeride ski. Extended rocker lines at both ends combined with C/FX construction in the tips and tails ensures the ability to pivot and slash your way through technical lines while still maintaining plenty of stability for blasting through choppy runouts. With the introduction of the Stance series last season - a line of directional, metal-laminate chargers - Salomon was able to adjust the QST 98 to be an even better freeride tool. We've long been fans of the QST line here at the shop for how balanced the skis always are, and so far all of our testers have walked away impressed with the updated QST 98; poppier, more playful, and more maneuverable than its predecessor, the QST 98 is set to be a top pick for a versatile one-ski quiver for Western skiers for intermediates and experts alike.

Topsheets: Good condition with scratching on the topsheet surface and light scuffing/nicking along the topsheet edges.
Bases: Bases are in very good condition with light scratching and a few deeper (but still minor) scratches. These skis are freshly tuned, waxed, and ready for snow.
Bindings: This is a fixed binding. These bindings are mounted to a BSL range of approximately 291mm-317mm. Bindings can be remounted to fit any boot size.
