New for the 2023 season, Salomon introduces a new touring ski: the MTN 96 Carbon. Salomon made big changes to their touring lineup from the previous Explore skis. The MTN 96 now has the cork damplifier technology found in the QST lineup, to give an ultra smooth ride no matter the chunder-y or dicey conditions you find yourself in. An all mountain rocker shape ensures reliable edge grip, while still being able to quickly release a turn if you need to. 95mm underfoot means you have a healthy platform underneath you to float in the soft stuff too. The technical choice of Cody Townsend (when he's not skiing knee deep pow) the MTN 96 Carbon is plenty lightweight enough for serious missions, but holds its own for casual touring on those training days.
