Unleashing a New (Old?) Breed of Nordica When Nordica introduced the Unleashed series a few years ago, I was excited. It was going to be a playful and fun-oriented balance to the famed (and chargey) Enforcers. When I skied them for the first time, I remember feeling a bit surprised. While they were solid and smooth, they didn't feel as loose or energetic as I imagined they would. And they certainly didn't feel like the classic wheeling and dealing Soul Rider. The reason? Do you ever feel like your skis are holding you back from having lots, and lots, and lots of fun? Enter the new Unleashed 98 CA. The Nordica Unleashed 98 CA is a fun-loving all-mountain ski. The playful shape we've seen on the Unleashed sticks around (in fact, this is the exact same mold as the regular Unleashed 98), but one distinct difference: no metal. Ditching the metal allows Nordica to lighten things up and create a ski has a bit more flex to it. That softer flex gives you more energy and makes it easier to control and engage the ski. More energy means more fun when launching off of side hits and zippering through bump lines. We also find taking the metal out makes this ski more nimble and quick edge to edge. So zipper bump lines you will, young Jedi.
