Our Take On The 2026 Nordica Santa Ana 87:
The Santa Ana series earned legend status in the last few seasons with consistent performance in all different waist widths. With a fresh update, the new Santa Ana 87 is the narrowest and most firm snow-focused of the collection. If you spend most of your time carving groomers, dealing with firm snow, or like a nimble and responsive ski, this is the Santa Ana for you. With the most metal in the terrain-specific metal lineup, the Santa Ana 87 is particularly suited for firm snow. You'll get additional dampening, suspension, and support for the ski, getting it over on edge. Where the Santa Ana 87 differs from more carving-specific skis is the versatility. Increased tail rocker (more than the older Santa Ana 88) and a tweaked tip shape allow the ski to link turns more intuitively and release more easily in tight terrain. That doesn't mean you can't still rail turns on this, though. It just lets you explore off-trail or let off the gas. A stoked intermediate could hop on this as a daily driver, just as much as an advanced skier looking for a versatile, narrow all-mountain ski can. This is a top pick for ladies in lower snow regions, or for women prioritizing a nimble ride.
