This Ski Is A Staff Favorite:
This has been my go-to backcountry ski over the past year. It performs excellent in fresh and soft snow, The Vision 108 is a very freeride oriented ski so it has plenty of early rise which makes it pivot quickly and easily. Similarly it's very soft which also makes it really fun off jumps and kickers. It's one of the lightest skis for its waist width so it's light on the way up and it also has a nice light feel on the way down. For ripping a spring hard snow couloir I would prefer something stiffer but for most backcountry days when I'm out looking for soft snow, I love this ski. I have it mounted with an AT binding but I would also consider mounting it with a downhill bindings if I wanted a super playful resort ski.
