Our Take On The 2023 Kastle TX93 UP:
New for the 2021-2022 the Kastle TX UP line gives you a slightly easier skiing version of their ever popular TX skis. Taking out some of the carbon makes the UP line a little softer, while also as a side benefit making it a little cheaper! Fear not though, this is still made with all the passion and craftsmanship as every other Kastle ski. With a little extra girth, the TX93 UP packs a little more punch in powder and mixed snow than the narrower TX87. Meanwhile, it is quicker on the up and the down than the new TX103, meaning it translates better to technical ski mountaineering. Long camber gives you reliable edge grip in the sketchiest places, while a splash of tip rocker keeps you on top of soft and mixed snow rather than getting caught up in it. The gist: the TX93 UP is all about balance. And balance can make or break alpine ski adventures. We recommend the TX93 UP to uphill travelers looking to tick off some big lines when conditions are right and spend long days linking dreamy lines in moderate powder until then.
