Who said ski design innovation is dead? The K2 Mindbender 96 is an all-mountain Swiss Army Knife -- quick, responsive, and endlessly versatile. New for the Mindbender series is Dark Matter tech. Along the sides of the ski, K2 inserts two TPU weights at both the tip and tail. The idea is to put weight where you need it, and not where you don't. Instead of filling the ski up with titanal, K2 can lighten the ski up without losing any stability. On snow, the Mindbender feels uniquely flickable. easy to release in tight terrain, and simultaneously smooth and locked in on firm snow. On the Mindbender 96 and 88, the weights are moved closer to the tip and tail for extra precision on firm snow. The Mindbender 96 carves far better than you'd imagine for a ski that feels this light on the feet, giving you energy to roam from groomers to backside bumps, tree stashes, and all the way back to hot laps before last chair.
