Our Take On The 2026 Icelantic Pioneer 96:

The Icelantic Pioneer 96 returns for another season, and we don't have any complaints about that. The Pioneer series features bamboo wood with intricate line work that presents ominous (or inviting, if you are crazy) Rocky Mountain peaks. A true one-ski quiver, the Pioneer can handle everything the mountain throws at you from ice to powder and all the stuff in between. Unlike the freeride skis from Icelantic, this ski has a more directional shape and 5mm of camber underfoot, ensuring that it will hold an edge in variable conditions. A tapered shape with plenty of rocker in the tip allows the ski to float in deeper snow without being a noodle on hard snow. Like a Vitamix, this ski blends performance and versatility effortlessly.
