Designed with big mountain lines in mind, the Cash certainly performs. It danced it's way through tight trees and was stable underfoot on hardpack, but where this ski really shines is up high in variable conditions. On slabby wind buff and chopped up thin cover in the chutes and faces at Loveland this goat absolutely charges. You can blow through chop with confidence, but can release turns just as quickly if there's sharks in the water.

Want a ski that do it all? Enter the Folsom Cash 106. As a burlier big mountain charger, this ski can crush groomers and variable snowpack, hold an awesome edge on trickier lines and tight spaces, and float on those deeper days when you don't want to bring out the pure pow skis. Not to mention the sick graphics!

Our Take On The 2024 Folsom Powder7 Cash 106:

For deeper days, or for skiing off-trail most of the time, you’ll find a lot of Powder7 staffers on skis on the wide side of 100mm. Wider skis give you greater flotation in deeper snow, but also when dealing with chopped up, mixed conditions in between storm days. So when we built custom skis with Folsom this season, we knew we wanted a wider model in the lineup that we could confidently take into varied snow and bigger terrain. The end result: Powder7 custom Folsom Cash 106. We went with a stiffer flex on this one, to help provide stability and power for skiing faster through heavier snow. A flatter, less tapered tail gives us a longer turn radius and more directional shape than the more playful Completo. This shape and flex supports more aggressive skiing, but Folsom’s Everyday Rocker – well rockered tips and tails – lets you quickly excuse yourself out of tight places with an easy-to-release tail. Perfect for folks looking for a ski that wants to charge some, but doesn’t punish you if you miss a turn here or there. We love a playful charger for big-mountain style skiing, and Folsom delivered something we can’t wait to get on. To top it off, Sarah Beabout’s killer big-mountain goat design is getting us mega inspired to go shred.
