The ski-crazed brainiacs over at DPS are notorious for experimenting with new shapes and constructions. The brand-new Pagoda Piste 100 C2 is the product of more than a decade of said experimentation. While lots of skiers know DPS either for their super surfy powder designs or super light touring skis, fewer folks associate the brand with progressive resort skis. That ends with Pagoda, the newest DPS construction. Pagoda skis feature an extra layer in the wood core versus traditional constructions. Long story short, that bonus level is made of ash, and it helps dampen the skis and smooth out your ride in every snow condition at every speed. The double-stacked wood cores also reduce vibrations from the carbon layers that sandwich them. The result? A ski at the uber-popular and versatile waist width of 100mm that devours crud and chop, grips hard snow, and feels uniquely smooth and energetic. The C2 shape is refined for skiers who attack the fall-line with a directional style, and it is more demanding than the RP shape. We love the Pagoda Piste 100 C2 for good ole all-mountain ripping...a little bit of this and a little bit of that. These are premium skis that feel like it.
