The curse, I assume, of being both a ski engineer and a perfectionist is that perfection is always an impossible standard. You can never be satisfied. The mad scientists at DPS are dedicated to a single, relentless pursuit: building a better ski. To that end, the entirely redesigned Foundation 106 C2 refines the Zelda F106 with a new shape that eases turn initiation, lengthens the turn radius for fall line charging, and dials in a more progressive flex for a smooth, balanced feel. In short, this Foundation 106 is a bit better in every small way. Under the hood, a core of bamboo and poplar wood is reinforced with carbon to provide a stiff backbone at speed. The C2 shape is never overpowering, though, and an expanded sweet spot keeps this ski maneuverable underfoot. Is this, finally, the perfect ski? I'm afraid there's no such thing, friend. But is this a great ski? You bet. Similar skis: Nordica Santa Ana 104 Free, Black Crows Atris Birdie.
