2024-2025 Blizzard Anomaly 94 Review

Blizzard Anomaly: The new Brahma and Bonafide After firmly embracing the adage "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" for winter after winter after winter, Blizzard finally replaces it's longstanding collection of directional all-mountain skis for 2024-2025. That means no more Brahma, Bonafide, or Cochise. Our Take On The 2026 Blizzard Anomaly 88:

The Blizzard Brahma 88 was a chart-topping all-mountain/frontside ski that shredded pistes like parmesan cheese for more than a decade. So when Blizzard dreamed up the Anomaly 88 to replace it, you can imagine it was a tenuous undertaking. The goal? Add more dynamic performance at all speeds to the ski, combating what some skiers called the "planky" feel of the Brahma 88, without diluting the skis' top-end performance. The strategy? Break up the titanal in the cores into three pieces and layer those pieces in such a way that their stability and dampening properties hold strong while allowing them to sheer slightly and create a smoother, less bulky on-snow feel. Whew, that was a mouthful. Put more simply: Blizzard wanted the Anomaly to go 0-to-60 just as fast as the Brahma did, while also being able to go 60-to-0 smoother and more easily. Make arguably the best 88mm ski of the last decade even better. Our testing has turned up high marks, and we're even more excited to put customers, from experts to athletic and stoked intermediates, on these skis. Prost, Blizzard!
