This ski, my friends, is a good and true ski. To be honest, I've never been let down by a Black Crows model--but the Anima exceeded my unreasonable expectations. It's unbelievable in deep stuff. What surprised me, though, was its versatility. In variable snow the day after a storm, and even on the frontside of the mountain, the Anima handles like a skinnier ski. Full disclosure: I've gone both heli-skiing and cat-skiing this winter (because I'm a fancy businessman), and the Anima came with me each time. I don't mess around on those trips, so I'm bringing a ski I have no doubts about. That ski is the Anima.

The Best Powder Skis of 2019

For the most part, there are no bad days of skiing. There are good days. Great days. And, of course, best days. When the universe conspires to give you a best day, it's normal to feel like you lack the words or megapixels to capture it. Good news—in 10 years, you'll remember it whether or not you told anyone or saved photos. One essential: the right skis for the job. And the Best Powder Skis of 2019 are... Pow7's Top Picks Black Crows Anima. Why we love it: It's no secret that we love the way Black Crows skis perform. The Anima is one of our favorites, a staff pick for deep days at Wolf ... Continue Reading

2020 Black Crows Anima Description:

Surfing, slashing, and charging into the 2019-2020 ski season, the new Anima features only a graphics update. These wide, stable skis have always been an excellent weapon for big mountain skiers and powder-hunters. Despite its 115mm waist and generous tip and tail rocker, though, the Anima can't be pigeonholed as just a deep snow animal. It excels in untracked powder, of course, but also handles variable or firm conditions with stability, energy, and playfulness. Tracked-out bowls? This thing powers through them. Tight trees? Quick turn initiation is a breeze on the surfy, rockered-up Anima. It's hard to imagine this ski disappointing you.
