I would like to start off by saying the birdie topsheet is in fact more steezy. Now that we have that on record, we can talk about how much fun I had with these Anima's. When you have those days where the powder is anywhere from your knees to your chest, you want a ski you know will stay on top of it. This ski does that no questions asked. You want your powder ski to surf pivot and slash? This ski does that. You want your powder ski to have enough suspension to plow through all the heavier, chopped up, bumpy, and variable snow the day after a big storm? Not much will do better than these Anima's. Are you so needy, like me, that you want them to shred big fast turns on groomers too?? Hey no worries, they can do that as well. If you want your powder skis to be ultralight, I would suggest looking else where maybe at a Bent Chetler 120. But if you're ready to woman, man, or non-binary up on some super fun, versatile, and chargey powder skis you have come to the right webpage my friend.

Our Take On The 2024 Black Crows Anima Birdie:

The Black Crows Anima Birdie is the women's version of the beloved, playful, unsinkable Anima. What's the difference between the Anima and Anima Birdie, a reasonable skier might ask? Absolutely nothing. Well, the Anima Birdie has a better topsheet graphic, I guess. Otherwise, lady rippers are getting the same floaty, fun 115mm-wide big mountain crusher that the Powder7 staff has been bringing on every powder-hunting trip for three winters. The Anima brings power and stability to both the men's and women's Anima, maintaining all-mountain versatility despite the wide platform. It's slightly stiffer, slightly wider at the tip, has slightly more camber, and the sidecut has been shortened by a couple of meters. Nimble, smooth, and an absolute riot in soft snow, the Anima Birdie sits a the top of our list of women's powder slayers. Similar skis: K2 Mindbender 115C W, Salomon QST Blank.
