If you want a balanced touring ski for all your spring touring days then Atomic Backland 85 is your stick, light for climbing, floaty in soft snow but also strong and edgy enough for getting you there and back. Thanks to the ultra light woodcore and carbon backbone, the weight is kept at a mimimum, without sacrificing downhill performance. At 85mm underfoot, it is nimble enough to turn in tight couloirs, but thanks to the added tip surface area from the HRZN Tech, you will still get stability and floatation in soft power.
