2025-2026 Black Crows Atris Review
Editor's Note: The 25/26 Black Crows Atris returns unchanged after its overhaul for 22/23. This review discusses the latest Atris construction and was originally published in May 2022. We've updated it with fresh photos. The Third-Edition Black Crows Atris is Here. Not that you asked—but my first ski purchase as a Powder7 employee was the Black Crows Atris. It was 2017, and Powder7 was the preeminent North American dealer of Black Crows, a fresh Chamonix-based ski brand full of pizazz. The ski instantly became my all-time favorite, leapfrogging all of about three other skis on ... Continue ReadingOur Take On The 2026 Black Crows Atris Birdie:
The Atris Birdie has been the queen of women's big mountain skis for several seasons now, and remains the reigning monarch after changes last year. Some die hard fans may be hesitant to embrace the change, but trust us when we say it's not a bad thing (in fact, we find it to be a very, very good thing). The new Atris Birdie is more versatile in variable conditions and quicker to turn, but still keeps its inherent nature of being a playful ski that you can easily charge with. Black Crows adjusted the rocker profile in the tip and tail by shortening the amount of rocker. Elongating the effective edge helps you bite into the snow a bit better, giving you a confidence inspiring, smoother ride. The narrower 105mm waist also is a bit easier to get over on edge, making the ski more responsive and stable if you find yourself on snow that's firmer than you might be hoping for. Overall, the updates make this ski more fun on those in between storm days, while keeping the same, killer soft snow performance that we've come to know and love from the Atris Birdie. We love it as a first powder ski for advanced-intermediates, and as an excellent mid fat ski to add to the quiver for our expert lady rippers.
