As liberated parents schemed bar hops and bass fans bought Decadence tickets, Powder7 owner Jordan Jones plugged in the Powder Wagon.
What a fitting name for his built-out Mercedes Sprinter. With a storm descending on Colorado’s southern mountains, he made his priorities clear. “It’s gonna be big,” he said, not quite able to hide giddiness under a stoic grin.
Big, it was.
Jordan greeted 2019 at Wolf Creek, home to the most annual snow in the state. A day of storm skiing—”it was almost too deep”—gave way to blue skies. The resort reported more than 30 inches of fresh snow. Between leap frogging blower tree lines with Powder7 ambassador Matt Jones and scoring impromptu snow cat rides to the Horseshoe Bowl, Jordan proved that the boss man does indeed know best.

Lesson (re)learned: When it snows, you go.
