K2 Skis 2021: The First Look
See our preview of the latest K2 skis and boots.
The Reckoning

Over the last few years, K2 has been tinkering with their all-mountain and freeride offerings. It led last year to the release of a dozen new models in the Mindbender family, which gave skiers across the ability and terrain spectrum a wide variety of options. That success also applied to the Mindbender boots, which were some of our favorite do-everything models in the industry.
For 2021, K2 unleashes Part II of its latest big revamp: the Reckoner series. The Reckoner 122, 112, and 102 are essentially the second coming of the Shreditor series, with a few structural updates, and they replace the Catamaran and Marksman. Taken as a whole, this new series plus the Mindbenders mean K2 now has a ski for just about everybody. Stay tuned for our on-snow reviews.

What’s New
Reckoner series brings back a playful freeride collection, a la the late Shreditor, with versions at 122mm, 112mm, and 102mm. Construction features carbon-centric Spectral Braid, also found in the Mindbender C models. Softer tips and tails with bulk underfoot should make the skis smear and surf while still being able to hold up in mixed or hard snow.
The Reckoner 122 features deeper rocker, longer rise, and lower camber than the other two Reckoner skis, which incorporate K2’s All-Terrain Twin Rocker.
New Pon2oon topsheets.
The new Disruption collection revamps K2’s frontside on-piste line. New models featuring titanal I-Beam construction are the Disruption 82Ti, Disruption 78 Ti, and Disruption 76X, plus the Disruption MTi and STi. The latter two also include K2’s new Dark Matter Damping (rubber), which is also found in the Disruption SC and women’s Disruption MTi Alliance and SC Alliance.

Other Highlights
The Mindbender skis, which debuted a year ago, get fresh topsheets but no structural changes.
The Mindbender 130 and 120 boots get new colors, new walk levers, and higher-performance liners that are also more customizable.
