Our Take On The 2025 K2 Disruption 78C:
The end of an era is here. Gone now is the venerated K2 iKonic series, replaced by the aptly named Disruption line of skis. K2 has gone all-in on the replacement of the beloved iKonic with flashy graphics and futuristic technology. Infused in the construction of the ski is the mysterious Dark Matter Damping. According to K2's Research Ski Scientists (aka “Skientists”) this provides greater edge hold, and stability without the cost of greater weight. If you're looking for the all-mountain carver you didn't know existed, the Disruption is your dream come true. The Disruption 78C uses a Carbon I-Beam down the center of the ski for greater stability. The 78C is a more approachable ski than its Ti cousins.
