Considering how well Blizzard’s flagship skis—Bonafide, Brahma, Black Pearl—have performed in ski tests and sales, you really don’t want to mess them up. We said that a year ago, and it’s as true today as it was then.
Ahead of last season, Blizzard re-imagined one of the most fundamental parts of ski construction: the wood core. Their TruBlend construction places hard wood (beech) where you need power and stability and softer/lighter poplar in the skis’ extremities to give skis a more even and more balanced flex. On snow, that new build checked out. The Bonafide 97, Brahma 88, Black Pearl 97, and Black Pearl 88 all skied great, smoother than ever without compromising their aggressive character.
For 2021-2022, Blizzard tricks out the Brahma 82 and Black Pearl 82 with that same TruBlend construction.

What’s New
TrueBlend technology added to the Black Pearl 82 and Brahma 82.

Other Highlights
The rest of the all-mountain collection comes back unchanged on the men’s and women’s sides. That includes the Black Pearl 88, Black Pearl 97, Brahma 88, Bonafide 97, and Cochise 106.
The best-selling freeride/all-mountain collection, Rustler for men and Sheeva for women, comes back unchanged.
The backcountry collection—Zero G 105, Zero G 95, Zero G 85—come back with new topsheets but no other changes.
