All About Momentum
Salomon felt they generated a ton of momentum last year with the release of the Shift binding and some noticeable changes to construction of their QST line on both the men's and women's sides. So they ran with it. Now, looking at the lineup of 2020 Salomon skis, there's even more to be excited about. All the QSTs get new constructions and should even more playful and stable. When the time arrives to buy new boards, most skiers are searching for one do-it-all ski. All mountain planks that can hold an edge on hardpack, yet surf on deep snow when conditions are prime. But, "all mountain" is a broad term that means different skis for different skiers -- making it tricky to track down that elusive "One Ski to Rule Them All."
Powder7 has you covered. Say you're a hardcore Vermonter who spends spring break tackling the Rockies, consider our picks for All Mountain Narrow. But if you shred gnarly lines like Lynsey Dyer, our All Mountain Wide picks are a good place to start. There's a one ski quiver out there for just about everyone, and we want to help you find it.

2020 Salomon QST Lumen 99 Description:
It finally happened. You can't resist the pull of new age skis anymore. And now that you're in, you want to pick the pair of skis that will transform your skiing and light the way toward a freeride-filled future. The Lumen 99 is that ski. Wide enough for all but the deepest powder days and narrow enough for bonafide groomer skiing and mogul ripping, it carries the all-mountain powder ski torch as well as any ski in the industry. Totally redesigned for 2019-2020, the Lumen 99 is a favorite among strong female skiers in the East, West, and everywhere in between. With carbon, flax, and basalt in the build, you get a smooth and damp yet equally energetic ride. Cork inserts in the tips and tails keep the swingweight low and the powder-surf high. A reimagined shape and new taper improves edge grip. Go ahead. Push the limit. Similar skis: Head Kore 99 W, Elan Ripstick 102W, Salomon Sky 7 HD W.
