As a long-time fan of the QST series, the Salomon QST Echo 106 definitely fits well into the family. If you had to take a regular QST 106 on a long tour, you better be in good hiking shape. The Echo addresses the weight without sacrificing too much stability. You can still drive the Echo on hardpack, and once you reach your powdery destination, you will find bliss! The QST series is filled with dependable adventure skis, and the Echo is no exception!

Our Take On The 2026 Salomon QST Echo 106:

Its finally arrived: a lighter weight, uphill oriented QST. The Salomon QST Echo 106 shaves about 400 grams for the pair, while retaining the same QST poppiness and play that weve come to expect. Salomon kept some of our favorite tech specs from the original QST, with cork damplifiers in the tips and tails and double ABS sidewalls to dampen the ski and keep things riding smooth even in the most variable of conditions. Salomon keeps the same shape and mold, so you still have the same quick turning and maneuverable feel, which comes especially in handy for those early morning jump turns. At the same time, just as weve learned over the years, the QST is undeniably a riot in powder. The QST Echo 106 can transition seamlessly from mid-winter meadow skipping to spring missions without batting an eye. Meet your new backcountry daily driver with the Salomon QST Echo 106.
