The Rossignol Soul 102 is sort of what we dream up when we think "all-mountain ski". The Soul 102 is versatile, smooth riding, and optimized for transitioning from groomed terrain to the back bowls. Rossignol uses their classic dampening techniques like the full titanal beam underfoot and central power rail that helps the ski track well through snow. Whenever we ride Rossi skis, they all have a characteristic "planted" feel that gives confidence to push through funky snow. But Rossi knows you don't want to swing around two-by-fours, so they've added AirTip tech that lowers the swing weight of the ski. That means your legs stay fresher for longer.
We love the Soul 102 for intermediate to advanced skiers who love a ride that stays planted and smooth riding, but has more of a playful character than many of the metal-infused skis you'll find in the all-mountain category. It's ideal for skiers our West looking for a daily driver that makes the most of the snow that comes around, or Eastern skiers looking for a soft-snow oriented ski that still has chops for dampening crusty snow.
