This has a nice poplar core that give them weight and dampness, in the most satisfying way. This leads to a good blend of maneuverability and an absolute blast of stability and a good time ripping groomies. Stands out with the amount of confidence you can place on these guys when blasting as fast as possible, but also in trees and bumps as they pull you down the mtn gracefully and without too much of a heave to get em to turn. I would suggest being in shape for these but it is not imperative which makes this ski surprisingly forgiving. Will plow crud or chop after the fresh powder gets skied out like nobody's business. Floats well on powder, especially if you want to move into the 3.0 version. Wompy landing, not stiff n' brittle very much at all. Nice flex without losing oomph for the amount of weight and wompiness it has which makes it fun to jump and do tricks with. Also: fun to ski switch. Very similar to Volkl Revolt 104 but a little more maneuverable and directional- I KNOW RIGHT, one of my top picks.

These skis can do it all. If you need to charge, they keep up with suprising edge hold at speed. If you want to float, they dance above the snow, surfing and sliding with ease. If you want to play they can hit bumps, slumps, and jumps. At 102mm underfoot, they strike the sweet spot between edge control and surface area, allowing any rider to clip in and get the most out of these skis. Light enough to throw around bumps, but stiff enough to go fast. One of my favorites of the 23-24 season, the Faction Mana 2 is a prefferred all-rounder with a lot of character.

Our Take On The 2024 Faction Mana 2:

A top pick by freestylers and freeriders everywhere, the Faction Mana 2 is back in action with refreshed art. So, what is Mana, you might ask? Some call it spiritual energy that has healing power. Some know it as a form of cryptocurrency. Either way, it's some special stuff. That's why Faction modeled this series after the legendary Candide series. The Faction Mana is Faction's resident freeride specialist. The 2 is the stiffest and slimmest of the bunch at 102mm underfoot. The Mana 2 seamlessly transitions from the frontside bumps to the backside bowls, and back to the park without a hitch. A lightweight and energy-loaded poplar core is easy to butter and swing around in the air. Faction combines this with the stiffer, carbon/rubber stomp pad to give you the power to stomp landings and plow through the snow as you please. Just as happy skiing switch as much as forward, the Mana 2 is the freestyle all-mountain ski of our dreams. The more you push into it, the more you get out of it. Similar skis: Black Crows Atris, Icelantic Nomad 105.
