DPS Pagoda Lotus 124 Skis

This Ski Is A Staff Favorite:

I love this ski! I was hesitant to try the Pagoda lineup because I like a really midrange flex and to a hand flex, these felt stiff. But after skiing the Pagoda 112 RP and loving it, I decided to try the 124 on the next super deep day. Much like the 112, I was very impressed and they had very similar characteristics: a little bit towards the stiffer side but that's offset by a decently tight radius when combined with a lightweight construction makes them easy to control. One of my favorite things about this ski is how predictably they track as the tips hold their line and don't get deflected off course. This is important for a powder ski whether it's super deep blower snow or slightly heavier surfy snow. The tails have a nice burliness to them that pops you off jumps nicely and also saved me on a couple landing where I landed backseat to bring me back to aft. I got to ski these in some 2 feet deep blower snow areas as well as catskiing on surfy snow where I was barely getting down into the snow but it was better to stay on top of it. In both of those situations these skis crushed it! 124 is very wide and the 112 is certainly a much more popular ski. But if you get to ski loads of pow, or want the deep day option, or want a ski for cat or heli skiing then I highly recommended the DPS Pagoda Lotus 124.

Our Take On The 2023 DPS Pagoda Lotus 124:

The mad scientists at DPS headquarters in Salt Lake City are constantly reimagining what's possible in ski construction, and they've never settled for "good enough". That's how you end up with Pagoda: DPS' newest construction, replacing their premium Alchemist series with skis that are slightly lighter, slightly smoother, more damp, and more eco-friendly. For the deepest (and best?) days of your skiing life, the Pagoda Lotus 124 is the right tool for the job. Variations of the generously-rockered, generously-tapered Lotus shape have existed since the early days of DPS, and for good reason: they're unsinkable, wildly playful, and deliver effortless surfy turns in untracked powder. Under the hood, a unique layup of carbon and wood and a one-piece sidewall finish blend stability and dampening with responsiveness, all while reducing waste from the build process by 30-40%. No excess glue. No urethane. Just durable, premium skis built in Utah. So bring out the Lotus 124 on a powder day and find out how much fun obsessive engineering can be.
